EAGLEBROOK SCHOOL ART BUILDING, DEERFIELD, MA
The design disperses 10,000 square feet of program within three pavilions, creating distinct communal spaces. The volumes are clad in a diaphanous skin of vertical wooden fins and structural glass that dissolves elegantly into the surrounding forest. The rotation of the pavilions and the angling of rooflines create a sculptural, intimate volume. The Art Building engages perspective, motion, and materiality to create a thoughtful harmony between the activity of the studios and their setting.
