When a longtime friend asked us to design their dream apartment, we sought to create something very special for them. We asked ourselves what is the essence of living high over the Atlantic, with incredible light and endless vistas? How could we learn from the ocean’s sense of calm to create 5,000 sf of refinement? We embraced simplicity to create warmth and conviviality. We designed custom furniture and selected iconic 1950’s “organic movement” curved sofas with flowing forms, a chair inspired by a dolphin’s sleek body. We mixed them with the rich materiality of Brasiliana chairs, exquisite Giorgetti pieces, and tables “mined” from fallen Brazilian logs. The inviting interiors resonate beautifully with the white sand beach and warm ocean breezes , offering a pure, refined and unique personality that flows seamlessly onto lush exterior terraces.
